Briswork is a search tool for enterprise use.

-  Enhance Searching Efficiency
-  Shorten Development Cycles
-  User-friendly Experience

Briswork offers an user-friendly experience for database searching, enhancing efficiency and shortening product development cycles.

Project Brief

Briswork is a search tool designed for enterprise use. Users can find product specifications, download images, or share with team members in three different ways. Moreover, the smart camera feature allows users to get product information simply by taking a photo, whether they are on the production line or in a meeting with clients, making the workflow smoother and more efficient.

My Role

Designer ( 2 members )
Observation / User Flow / RWD web design / Prototype

 -  I discussed this project with a senior UX Designer to make it more feasible.

Challenge

Briswork is a B to B product, considering expenditure and feasibility, I substituted RWD website for original app. To avoid being a complicated product, I amended features many times, focus on searching flow process and make sure it is easy to use.

Time Line

Dec.2023  -  Apr.2024

DESIGN HIGHLIGHT

Search by Different Ways

Image Search / Keywords / Search by Type

Except for the specified searched item, the website will show related products or series products by image rows, user can access to different product pages in one searching process.

Search History and Sharing

" Recently View " row on home page allows user to access frequently used product information with just one click. About long history record, they can be found in " History" pages. User can share or download information by clicking buttons on product pages.

Smart Camera

During mobile operation, user can use the camera to take photos to recognize products, which is helpful when user is in the showroom or production line. Share and download features are also available.

Point of View

  • We met developers can not find corresponding product information if they do not know the product code during meeting in the office or showroom.

  • We were surprised to notice they would recall the development date, product features, factory name...ect., to filter data individually, but pause the meeting at the same time.

  • We wonder if it means getting product information in real time allows the meeting to go smoothly, however, existing system cannot satisfy the demand.

  • It would be game-changing to improve existing search flow to make information more accessible, under the premise of safeguarding security and privacy.

How might we improve existing search flow ?

User Story

As a developer, I want to efficiently find product information anytime and anywhere, so that I can proceed with meeting using accurate information.

Except for user story, we make AEIOU analysis as well to gain a better understanding of the user's environment and the people, events, and things they may interact with, allowing us to explore potential user needs, then make the persona as target audience.

Functional Map

We listed all potential main features, sub-features and detailed contents. After that, we thought roughly about several user flows, then start working on project design.

REFLECTION

This is my first time creating a corporate website, and it has been a valuable experience. I followed design thinking methods several time in order to define user and find the core problem. I also tested prototype many time to ensure a smooth user flow. The result proves that all the effort was worthwhile. Besides, I'm grateful to my partners for their support, this is the most refined project I've completed.
